It seems like many European experts in creative industries have been missing out on the ongoing global AI revolution, especially in the video content production sphere. I see or hear such takes like “AI had its big ChatGPT (or Midjourney) moment in 2022, but the world has moved on.” Well, the only thing that moved on (or moved further) is AI. What we are witnessing now is a new era of digital content creation that allows you to travel limitlessly across your imagination.

First, the Chinese Kling (now available worldwide) tool made everyone forget about OpenAI’s Sora, then Luma Dream Machine blew everyone’s minds, Runway’s Gen3 release followed with incredibly realistic text-to-video generations and lively image-to-video animations. And a cherry on top—the new 6.1 Midjourney version and Flux tool creating super-detailed hi-res image generations. All this—within roughly 2 months. We are in the moment of history when AI filmmaking is highlighted at big film festivals in Cannes and Venice, and special film events like AI Film Fest Amsterdam are being launched. We are in a moment of history where AI video and image realism become mindblowing. We are in a unique moment in history when everything we’ve known about the video production process is about to change.

And this moment is truly an exciting time to be alive and to be a digital creator.
